Itinerary

The walk of Waqrapukara is one of the new alternatives of a Full Day in Cusco, ideal for people who love the walk and adventurous people, it is also considered a new alternative of a trainning for people who have not yet made an Inca trail or Salkantay trek .

Our tour begins in Cusco, with pick-up at their respective hotels from 3.30 am to 4.00 am, if your hotel is not located in the historic center, you will have to approach the main square of Cusco to be able to pick it up there (prior coordination), once that the whole group is concentrated at 4.30 am we will start the trip for 1/30 hours in our private tourist transport towards the town of Cusipata for our corresponding breakfast, the time of our breakfast will be in a time of 30 minutes.

Once we have enjoyed our breakfast, we will depart from the town of Cusipata towards the town of Santa Lucia, deviating from the main road through the intersection of Chuquicahuana taking the road to Pomacanchi and then to the town of Santa Lucia, our route until we reach the town of Santa Lucia It lasts approximately 2 hours.

Once you arrive at the town of Santa Lucia at the starting point of our walk you will be given the corresponding directions of travel and safety.

Here we begin our walk to Waqrapukara, our walk will last 2 hours and 30 minutes, the road we will take consists of impressive canyon viewpoints and incredible landscapes in which we will have 3 breaks of 10 minutes, in which refreshments will be provided.

After a walk of approximately 2 hours we finally arrive at our final destination “Waqrapukara ceremonial center 4300 masl” arrival time approximately 11.00 in the morning, and at the pre-Inca archaeological center we will take our rest for about 20 minutes and then start our tour in the same archeological center.

At noon we will have our lunch in the field for a time of 30 minutes, after enjoying our lunch we will go to the photo session of the respective viewpoints (the desired photo) once finishing with all the activity in Waqrapukara we will start with the return walk , taking the same way to reach our mobility, then

We will take our return transport, thus arriving in the city of Cusco at approximately 7:00 p.m.
